About

Nice to meet you! My name is Alex.

I’m an Interaction Design Foundation certified UX designer trained through two years of dedicated mentorship and hands on practice in Figma building wireframes, prototypes, and utilizing component libraries. I enjoy creating clean, accessible user interfaces and strive to understand users’ needs.

In my past life I was an MMA coach.

I spent 15 years coaching martial arts, shaping the user experience of classes by curating personalized paths for each student, and keeping sessions cohesive and on time. I’m personable and professional while balancing individual needs with business goals, and I care deeply about people feeling supported and successful.

I fight Dragons on the weekends.

I’ve spent five years designing and running tabletop campaigns like Dungeons & Dragons, a sandbox for empathy, communication, problem solving, planning, improvisation, and conflict resolution. As a UX designer this translates into personas, storyboarding key flows, systems thinking, and wireframe-level planning. It requires careful design under various constraints with real users right at the table with me and keeps my creativity sharp!
